The PlaceMUS XR project has launched a European survey on sound-based and immersive experiences in museums and cultural heritage sites.
The project develops innovative digital tools designed to support the creation, sharing, and experience of musical heritage through immersive technologies. These tools will be integrated within the ECCCH – European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage, contributing to new ways of accessing and interacting with cultural content.
This study focuses on the promotion and reception of musical heritage through the design of visitor experiences that integrate immersive technologies.
At the core of this initiative is the need to better understand how sound and music are currently used, perceived, and experienced in cultural contexts.
We invite professionals from three key communities — museum curators, educators, and cultural and creative industries — to share their:
- Practices
- Expectations
- Needs
The collected data will be analysed to support the development of guidelines for future installations within the project, in connection with the ECCCH – European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage.
All responses are fully anonymous, and the results of the study will be made available in open access.
The survey takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete.
